Upon leaving Hall (Innsbruck) we continued our journey towards Germany. After crossing (another!) high mountain pass we entered Germany and stopped in the delightful town of Mittenwald, known far and wide for its violin makers. Under German law it is permissible to sleep overnight in a car park as long as there are no restrictions…….. so we parked up in the centre of town, having paid 50 cents for the hour remaining until 18:00 when it is then free until 09:00 the next morning….
After a couple of slices of locally made apple strudel washed down with some nice fresh (Italian) coffee we were refreshed and ready for a little walk about the town….
Almost every building is hand painted on the front with traditional country scenes….
Everywhere is very clean, tidy and well maintained….
A big violin!….
Grahame is still taken with these Piaggio 3 wheelers…….hmm, now the dilemma is which type…. pick up?
or truck?….
“I wonder if I could convert one of these into a camper?”…….haha….
Love the hand painted walls. Hugs and love Mumski xxxx
